Red Sky Restaurant and Lounge, Philadelphia. The Father and
son team of David and Scott Stein have conceived of Red Sky, a chic and
stylish restaurant and lounge, located at 224 Market Street. Michael Salvitti, formerly Executive Chef of Audrey Claire, is at the helm in the
kitchen preparing New American cuisine. Red Sky is located in the former
City Critters pet shop, identified by its bright red door and logo projected
on the second story windows. Adam Zangrilli conceived of Red Sky's dramatic
décor. Zangrilli transformed the historic building, dating from the early
1800s, by incorporating industrial simplicity inspired by New York’s SoHo
and tropical sophistication inspired by Miami’s South Beach. Lime green
tiled floors, a glowing blue aluminum staircase, custom designed black
leather banquettes, ottomans and steel tables punctuate the stark white
space. Two story windows overlooking Market Street create an airy feel and
brightness. An outdoor café seats 30 in warm weather months.
